It was there, from the age of 5 to 17, she performed in yearly recitals as well as various roles in 9 productions of The Nutcracker. Jeneca also spent her three years of high school performing with the Davis High Dance Company, a group focusing on ballet, modern, and creating choreography. As a dancer in DHDC, she had the opportunity to tour and perform in New York City, France, Germany, and Czech Republic. During her senior year, Jeneca was selected as the semi-finalist in the statewide Sterling Scholar competition for her technical, performance, and choreographic dance ability.

Prompted by her experience with dance in high school, Jeneca entered college at Brigham Young University to study Dance Education. Though she spent many years learning to be an educator, she also performed on three modern/contemporary companies, including Kinnect, dancEnsemble, and Contemporary Dance Theater. Through those companies, she was able to teach creative movement and modern classes to over 2000 students, work with choreographers like Donald McKayle and Bebe Miller, participate in adjudication at the American College Dance Festival, and perform throughout Utah, Idaho, Jamaica and India.

After graduation in 2012, Jeneca relocated with her husband to Minnesota, taking on the job of school principal and instructor at CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory. Last year, Jeneca, her husband, and daughter, relocated to Bloomington, for her husband to get his MBA at Indiana University. Jeneca is excited for her second year working at Windfall Dancers as School Director and teacher.
